Details of the Serious Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.” Scope of the Police Inquiry These allegations follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley. The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th. Breakdown of Charges Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences comprise: 15 counts of assault. Seventeen counts of assault by penetration. 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen. 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
