During the peak on yesterday, in excess of twenty-eight thousand power users in the state were lacking electricity.

Meteorological Predictions

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.

Tomorrow was forecast to be the most rainy day, with ongoing severe weather risk predicted across multiple regions of both states.

Safety Concern

Health officials cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.

This caution comes after previous incidents where analogous circumstances led to significant health impacts in the area.
